I'm SERIOUS!

While at the UNB hockey game last night (during which we hammered Wilfred Laurier University 10-2), my pal Cathy Belmore dropped by to say hi to my seat mate, granddaughter Madison. Cathy has a soft spot for Madie since spending time with her during the Fredericton Express Reunion last year for Special Olympics. Madie visited her house, played with Maggie, her beauty golden retriever, and swam in her pool. But Madie isn't remembering Cathy when she asks last night. Madie has a funny look on her face, but we can't tell if she's thinking hard about it, actually doesn't remember or if she's just kidding. So after a couple of seconds of pressing the child with hints to remind her... we tease her and say, "We think you're just fooling us." To which my quick-to-respond granddaughter says with indignation, "This IS my serious face!" We broke up!
