Okay, week one is over and I've spent most of it in oblivion anyway. Debbie bundled me up and transported me for the official weigh-in. They commented on my sick face, but we didn't care, keeping motivation in high gear is important right now. We both lost :-) The young girl (not our regular consultant) who looked after us said I lost around 5 pounds in total, but I know what the scale said and it was closer to 7! I forgive her anyway. I'm worried that most of this is due to the pneumonia rather than actual weight loss, but I have been sticking to the plan, so fingers are crossed.
Which brings me to a wonderful co-worker of mine who is a FANTASTIC cook and an award-winning cookie baker. She drops off a basket to me full of lasagna, baked beans, biscuits, salad, and her famous cookies. A number of feasts fit for a queen! It was the nicest thing someone outside my family has done for me personally in a long time. I felt appreciated and "loved". Cathy has a tremendous heart. So I ate lots of the salad and had a spoonful of the lasagna... hubby gets his share... cookies are up for grabs if you visit the ill!
