Sadie came and she didn't go.
The explanation: We bought a new fridge recently, not because the "old" one which was actually fairly new was a problem, but hubby wanted a different model... a side-by-side but I digress. It was recently delivered and he noticed a small imperfection probably resulting from the shipping company. The dealer offered to replace it, which happened yesterday (we won't mention the fact that there is another imperfection in a different place, again due to the shippers, but he's keeping this one... and an extra shelf from the previous one for good measure... he figured he's owed that at least.)
Now Sadie came home with us from the shelter on February 20 so she's been around for seven weeks today. Last night David was moving food boxes that he had put in the fridge in his "den/shed" to put back in the inside fridge now that it was up and running at appropriate temperatures. About a half hour later he sat down to have his usual late supper. He called the dogs. No Sadie. He looked everywhere in the house, no Sadie. Perplexed, he goes to the deck door and steps out. Calls and whistles for Sadie. He hears a noise and thump, thump, thump, up she comes onto the deck. She had gotten out when he was transferring boxes and had been out for over a half hour! She's never been out on her own and usually on a rope. She had redeemed herself somewhat of her other little indiscretions as he was most impressed she didn't wander away! After all, just a few weeks ago she was a stray! My girl had a chance to run and she didn't. She's HOME and she KNOWS it! We love you too Sadie!
