Since "Not Always About Me" Hasn't Told This One Yet!

Okay, I heard this one second-hand, but I love it... and I hope it is an insight into how my granddaughter will handle boy trouble in the future. I'm told that my five-year-old sweetie made a Valentine for a boy in her kindergarten class. Now I'm going to overlook that fact that she's the age she is making a "love card", and instead sympathize with her when this young man decides to throw her card in the garbage in a definite "girls are icky" manner. Oh poor Madie, I think to myself sadly, as I'm being told the story by a second party.

But, have not fear, Madie is not be outdone! Apparently she and another little girl in her class fish the card out of the garbage and ask the teacher if they can go put it in her backpack. Teacher says yes, so the two of them go out and guess what? The little schemers put it in HIS backpack! Take that!

Madie... you make Grammie proud to be female!
