Hot Fuzz

Okay, so I do have a sense of humour... or at least I thought I did. I don't understand people who love black humour. I went to the movies with the girls... my university buddies... we get together for supper and a movie every month or so. They wanted to see Hot Fuzz cause Rotten Tomatoes gave it very high reviews. It is a black British comedy, and I found it decidedly NOT funny. I mean I can appreciate that fact that, as far as black comedy goes, it would appeal to the true fan. It had the innane lines, incredibly stupid gory scenes and didn't always make much sense, but boy did they find it funny! In fact, they loved it! I felt decidedly out of the club... I'm glad for them while they felt 'bad for me'... but I told them not to... now if I had PAID to see it... !

I went to the movies again tonight with my other girls... my real girls! The chick flick movie that Rotten Tomatoes gave bad reviews... Georgia Rule. Me and my girls liked it... a lot! I'm back in the club!

I find that I sometimes LOVE a movie that everyone else hated. I think the movie club changes a lot. Sometimes we're in, sometimes we're not. It's just fun do go :-)
